Our well-designed infrastructure has been one of the major factors in ranking us among the best schools in Visakhapatnam. Built across a vast 1,75,000 sq. ft, the School has classrooms designed to international standards of excellence with spacious, healthy and well-equipped academic facilities such as multimedia aids and projection techniques. It also houses sophisticated Science and Computer labs, Library, Auditorium and indoor sports facilities.
The 1050 sq.ft computer lab offers students with a 1:1 computing experience. Our well-trained teachers take extra care to teach the students the basic and necessary computer skills that they will require for their life ahead, as well as the computer course that has been developed according to the CBSE syllabus. We house the most upgraded systems that will give the students the best learning experience.
One of the distinguished facilities that are unique to our school is our social lab. Our social lab pushes the children to think out of the box through practical methods of learning like role-playing, visualization, and group discussion. The lab displays maps of all the states of our country, globe, and models showing the phases of the moon, etc. We rely on permanent visualization of different natural phenomena like landform formation, earthquakes, etc and 3D prints to make learning lively, interactive, and interesting for the students.
FWS houses well-equipped laboratories to impart practical knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. With the aim to provide ample time and adequate equipment for every student to perform the experiments as per the CBSE guidelines, we offer separate labs for each subject. All the laboratories have ample stock of chemicals, specimens, and instruments so that each student is able to carry out experiments individually. Experienced teachers guide the students to explore the world of science through a meticulously planned schedule of practical classes while taking care of the safety of every child.
Our maths lab has been uniquely designed, keeping the welfare of the students in mind. We believe that teaching mathematics shouldn’t be confined to the four walls of a classroom. It should provide an opportunity for the students so that they can discover the beauty and the importance of mathematics in everyday life. Our maths lab is equipped with a collection of games, puzzles, and other teaching-learning materials. It enhances the cognitive development of the children as they rethink and work on the problems. It helps in building confidence and makes mathematics interesting for the students, laying the foundation for learning new areas of mathematics.
Making learning fun is an idea we firmly believe in. Our robotics club has been created, keeping this idea in mind. We are associated with Finer Aspects Digi, which is the first humanoid robot provider in India. They provide robots for educational research and are in collaboration with Serina Technologies. Our association with them enables our students to learn about cutting-edge trending technologies like humanoids, AI, Mechatronics, 3D Printing, and other such subjects.
The 6500 sq.ft FWS library gives access to thousands of books. Apart from fiction and academic subjects, the collection covers a variety of interests to stoke curiosity in inquisitive minds.
For lectures, award ceremonies, dramatic plays to plays, concerts and dance competitions, the open auditorium is the perfect stage. Its acoustic design ensures that the audience is riveted by both sight and sound. We also have an indoor auditorium that is under construction.
Sports facilities comprise of tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, football ground, cricket net courts, skating rink, badminton courts, throwball, multi-play equipment for kids, indoor play area for kindergarten and preschoolers. There is also the expected array of indoor games.
We have a dedicated psychology department with in-house psychologists. They conduct a regular evaluation and carry out a continuous analysis of the students as well as the staff. This is done to ensure student achievement, improve their behavior and attendance, and help them develop socially.
Our students matter the most to us. And so do their parents. We believe good health is the key to the overall development of every human being. We take care of our students’ health and development, but we never neglect their parents. Along with regular monthly check-ups for the students, we conduct medical camps and check-ups for all the parents twice a year.
We have a well-equipped sick room that is available for use at all times for both the students and the teachers. Here we are able to monitor all those who feel unwell or are injured. We also have an in-house nurse who looks into any medical attention required immediately.
Children are the apples of our eyes and to ensure their safety and security we keep an eye on all the activities around them 24×7. Providing them a safe environment to learn, play, and develop is one of our chief responsibilities. As the school and the hostel buildings stand on the same campus, we have taken measures to ensure maximum protection with security personnel stationed for both the buildings all round the clock. A boundary wall is constructed around the campus. We have also installed CCTV cameras strategically around the campus for added security.
We keep in touch with the nerve of the digital world and are always working on updating our systems to give our students the best of everything. We digitally track the holistic development of our students. We maintain the progress reports in a digital format in order to make it easily accessible to both parents and teachers.
Water is a precious and extremely necessary resource. And every individual is entitled to clean drinking water. At FWS, we provide clean drinking water with RO round the clock. We have our own functioning RO plant so that we can easily cover the water need of the entire campus.
In order to have an uninterrupted power supply all the time for both the school and the hostel building, we have an in-house 250kV generator. This means that we never have a power shortage and enjoy electricity all day.
